The 2023 Emberlight Festival
The Emberlight Festival happens annually in Ironwood, Michigan. Emberlight aims to bring art to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. They bring many artists and their work to Ironwood every year to share with the community and celebrate art. With works spanning from plays and cabarets to photography and outdoor installation, Emberlight has a world of projects for everyone to enjoy.
As their stage manager, I worked on their mainstage productions, challenging me through their shortened schedules. Though these productions didn’t involve much paperwork I still needed to make sure everything was running smoothly while we had many artists at different points in time.

About the Show
The show Buyer & Cellar revolves around the mall in the basement of Barbra Streisand's house and what would happen if someone would to be hired to work there.
We put up this show in a weeks time. It was the fattest I had ever put up a show and created a challenge for me. This show also provided challenges in the use of tech and what happens when you are calling the show and the only one backstage. It also gave me the opportunity to call a show from the wings.

Characters

About the Show
The show characters was a cabaret type show. I worked closely with Miles and Adam to create this show in the span of 3 days. We worked hard to create a simple but engaging set and lighting looks. It gave me the opportunity to learn more about lighting and the process of cueing show and then calling it.

Showstoppers

About the Show
Showstoppers was the quickest show I have put up with a 3 day process. We had the performers arrive Wednesday and cued the show then we finished cueing the show and did a rehearsal on Thursday and the show opened Friday. It truly flew by. As a stage manager just proved a great challenge learning the show while also navigating a new theater in just 3 days.
