Volpone
Volpone is a play written by Ben Jonson tells the story of Mosca and Volpone as the work to con the people around them into growing their fortune and in the end all it turned upside down.
This production provided challenged to me as a stage manager as I worked to navigate a production that was consistently changing. This director wanted to keep the show in the lose form, allowing the actors to change the production as it went. This means that blocking wasn’t the most essential piece as it did not need to stay a certain way, instead understanding the pace of the show and the general location of entrance and exits. This show was all about adapting.
